NGS Facility for Integrative Genomics (NIG)

University medical Center Göttingen

The NGS Core Facility for Integrative Genomics (NIG) is a scientific Core Facility of the University medical Center Göttingen and part of the Institute for Human Genetics. We support biomedical research in the field of genomics, transcriptomics, and epigenomics by performing genomic analyses using next generations sequencing (NGS) and microarray techniques. We offer our expertise, our state-of-the-art infrastructure, and well considered procedures. In addition, we are always working on the development of new technologies.

Our scientific consultancy and services can be used by working groups of the UMG as well as university and non-university cooperation partners, national and international, on the basis of collaboration and cost sharing.

Our Services

Our comprehensive service includes the initial discussion of the project design, sample preparation, the implementation of the molecular analyses and the provision of the generated data for further evaluation (first pass data generation). We offer our users a comprehensive laboratory service consisting of RNA/DNA preparation, quality analyses, sample preparation for deep sequencing and microarray analyses and, if required, we also assist them with extensive statistical and bioinformatic support from the conception of the project design to the analysis of the experimental data.

Contact

We will be happy to provide you with our expertise for an initial consultation (see below for contact details and site plan) and/or create an offer for you based on our current user prices. Ideally, please contact us as early as possible in your project. In this way, we can collaborate to elucidate an optimized strategy that meets the needs of genome-wide analyses.
