Research focuses at the UMG

The research activities of the focus area Molecular Cell Biology are closely networked with university and non-university institutions on the Göttingen Campus. This dynamic, internationally visible cooperation promotes the exchange of innovative ideas and enables unique collaborations.

These collaborations take place in various forms, including bilateral partnerships between scientific institutions and interdisciplinary research centres spanning faculties and institutions. Examples include the Göttingen Center for Molecular Biosciences (GZMB) and the Heart & Brain Center Göttingen (HBCG), as well as exceptional joint projects such as the Cluster of Excellence MBExC, the Collaborative Research Center 1565, and the Research Group 2848. These synergies are also used to develop forward-looking solutions for complex medical issues.
