First GRK 2824 PhD student defense is successfully completed

This week on July 20, 2026 our 1st cohort PhD student Anastasiia A. Gorshkova/RP1 defended her thesis as the first in her cohort.

Anastasiia (Nastia) kindly invited all of us to her defense. Many of her fellow students and friends attended. It was very interesting and exciting to be there.

We want to share an insight in Nastias feelings:

"I defended my PhD thesis. Still can’t quite believe it.
Yesterday I defended my thesis, “Proteomic and phosphoproteomic analysis of calcium signalosome dysfunction in excitable cardiac and neuronal cells,” at the University Medical Center Göttingen. I am particularly grateful to Christof Lenz and Stephan E. Lehnart for their guidance, critical discussions and support throughout the project. I would also like to thank my examination committee, collaborators, colleagues at Universitätsmedizin Göttingen, and the Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences for their feedback and contributions.
I am now looking for that next direction in proteomics, LC-MS, analytical development, or translational research."
