PhD student 1st cohort@GAUSS Thesis Competition
our PhD student of the 1st cohort Shamim Sasani Ghamsari RP10.1 participated in the GAUSS “Three-Minute-Thesis Competition (3MT)” last week on May 30th, 2026 where she presented the core message of her doctoral thesis and explained her research with a single static slide in just three minutes.
A jury decided on the ranking of all presentations and the audience selected their favourite 3MT slammer.
We are proud to announce that Shamim received 1st place by the jury’s decision AND also won the People’s Choice Award.

Condensing research into just three minutes is both challenging and rewarding, and this experience reminded me how important clear communication is in academia.
