Scientific Illustration with Inkscape Workshop

This week on September 07 and 08 our 2nd cohort PhD students had the opportunity to attend the “Scientific Illustration with Inkscape” Online-Workshop held as a virtual live workinar by Dr. Jan Brocher, BioVoxxel.
Inkscape provides as a free, open-source vector graphics editor researchers and students a powerful, zero-cost alternative to Adobe Illustrator for creating publication-ready scientific illustrations and figures.
Through practice-oriented methods and practical exercises, our students are intended to gain confidence for their daily work.
We hope that our students are now equipped with new knowledge and suitable tools for working on posters, presentations, and publications.
Many thanks also to our coach Dr. Jan Brocher!
